Weiss
Albert Weiss, a former employee of Coro, opened his own business in the 1940's. "Jewels by Albert Weiss" was used on jewelry carding and in advertising. Mr. Weiss did not manufacture his own designs but instead bought designs from various "jobbers", including Hollycraft, which accounts for the wide variety of styles that jewelry with the Weiss signature encompasses. Some pieces emulate the Eisenberg style, using the paved swirls and even the keyhole clasp that Eisenberg used. The best pieces of Weiss including his well-known "Black Diamond" line and pieces that use combinations of vibrant, deep colors, the hinged thermoplastic clampers, as well as the arum rhinestone and clear rhinestone "Ice" pieces.

Description: Weiss Thermoplastic Clamper Bracelet with Rhinestones - A cream colored hinged bangle with oval and small round clear rhinestones, this is in very good vintage condition except for a darker cream streak in the front. I have photographed this with flash and done a closeup so you can see this clearly, however in person it is much less noticeable. Description: Weiss Colorado Topaz Rhinestone Bracelet - This is a well-known Weiss "design" using octagonal or emerald cut stones. Beautiful quality rhinestones, set in darkened silvertone, very good shape except for plating on underside-apparently this was a favorite bracelet of the previous owner, as the plating that would have been in contact with the skin is well worn. Description: Weiss Black Diamond and Clear Rhinestone Pave Necklace - This uses the "keyhole" clasp that as far as I know only Eisenberg and Weiss used. This is a higher end black diamond piece (Weiss made their famous Black Diamond line in a variety of price ranges) with top notch stones in excellent condition. Adjustable to about 16 1/2"; about 1/2" wide at center, using 6 and 8mm black diamond rhinestones for all but the hangchain. Silvertone. Description: Spectacular Weiss Clear Rhinestone Pinwheel Brooch - One of the best clear rhinestone brooches I have ever had, equal to any of the 1950's Eisenberg. This features seven 13mm dentelle (fancy) cut rhinestones, six 7.75mm dentelle rhinestones, six rectangular cuts and a whole lot of graduated pave set stones. Blindingly beautiful, this baby was very difficult to photograph because of its refraction. Center stone has a small hazy spot only noticeable with close scrutiny, otherwise superior condition. Description: Weiss Candle Christmas Trees Set - The famous ultimate set for Christmas tree collectors, these use frosted baguettes for candles. Shown in Gallina, Morrison, and Trowbridge, they are known as 6 candle, 5 candle and 3 candle for the three sizes. All in excellent condition, with the smallest showing a little aging of the clear stones. 6 candle tree has a gunmetal type setting, while the other two are in the traditional brassy goldtone. All of the price guides seem to agree that the value of these, individually, is very high, so I think you will find our price for the trio quite reasonable.
