Unsigned Vintage Necklaces
Fabulous necklaces don't have to be signed to be wonderful! Many of the best pieces of jewelry are unsigned, and who cares WHAT something says or doesn't say if it is a gorgeous piece.
All DeLizza & Elster pieces that are verified designs are on their own page - this page MAY contain unverified D&E, as well as unverified Haskell. All crystal bead styles will also be found in their own section of the site, as will Victorian/Deco/Nouveau styles be found in theirs. You will also find interesting beaded necklaces on pg. 4 of the copper/silver/beads/plastic/wood/misc. section.

Description: Filigree and Unfaceted Bead Necklace - A whodunnit if I ever saw one. The design and components looks like Haskell but there are construction differences that make this improbable. Three large "maltese cross" single filigrees are used to form the bib portion of the necklace, with the tops curved over from which beads are dangled. Each bead (I think frosted glass but not certain) is almost honey colored and double end caps are used at top and bottom of each bead of all but the smaller center beads. Sides have rolled filigree beads with attached filigree domed ends. Farther back a double chain of "s" link metal is used. Clasp is a push in "v" type, and is marked sterling. It does not appear to be a replacement. Side chains and beads measure 7", bib is about 5" across, so the necklace length is about 19". Bib portion has a little over 4 1/4" of drop. A tiny bit of verdigris that is ubiquitous to all of the legitimate brass pieces has been removed. Excellent condition. Very attention getting and unlike anything I've ever had. Item: UN2-681 Price: $185.00 US Sorry, SOLD! ![]() ![]() |

Description: Black Glass and Brass Chain Bib Necklace - A wonderful and wearable circa 1930's piece. Neck chain is about 15", thumbless clasp. Thirteen black glass beads drop from the chain at graduated lengths, with the longest falling in the center at about 3". Great "Czech" look piece, other than a little plating loss on the clasp as shown in the picture I see no flaws here. Item: UN2-680 Price: $45.00 US ![]() |

Description: Unsigned Kramer?? Emerald Green and Clear Rhinestone Necklace - Haskell and her imitators often used a technique known loosely as "tapestry" where small roses montees/pearls/beads were put into tight rows on filigrees. Eventually someone came up with the idea to solder rows of rhinestone chain into shapes much like the look you got with tapestry, and here we see it used in a kind of foliate motif with large unfoiled green pears peeking around the corners. I believe I have seen pieces by Kramer using this technique, and this may be one of theirs. Necklace measures about 16.5", with a 2" fall at the center. Foldover clasp set with rhinestones, all appears to be original and in excellent condition. For those who love a "fine jewelry" look to their costume pieces, this would make a great addition. Item: UN2-694 Price: $69.50 US ![]() |

Description: Double Row Goldtone/Rhinestone Leaf Choker Necklace - This looks so much like Trifari, and even has it's own "self" extender that Trifari called a "twin" clasp, but no signature. Excellent condition, with one replaced rhinestone, this measures 15 3/4" with extender, and 14 3/4" without, and 5/8" wide. With 54 individual links in the main body of the necklace, this is extremely articulated and fits like a glove. A true bargain on an elegant piece. Item: UN3-682 Price: $18.50 US ![]() |

Description: Tremendous Multi-Purple Retro Necklace - Top quality piece with incredible stones, heavy and well made. Large heavy prong set octagonal 18 x 14mm lavender stones alternate with three purple baguette stones on shield shapes; ends continue with shield shapes that are set with single alternating light and dark purple baguettes. All stones are prong set. Chains finish with heavy "S" hook, other side has substantial tail "weight" on end. Adjustable to about 18 1/2". Excellent condition, designer quality without the name. Reminds me of something Joan Crawford would have loved. Item: UN11-670 Price: $95.00 US ![]() |

Description: Unusual Aqua Moonstone/Rhinestone Bib Necklace - As a longtime collector of faux moonstone pieces, this is the only one I have ever seen with aqua faux moonstones. This is a very wearable piece, with just enough aqua rhinestones for a little sparkle, and oval cabochons for a little more casual feel. About 1 3/8" at the wide points, this has been modified by the previous owner to accomodate a 17 1/2" neck (without the added chain this would fit about a 14 1/2" neck.) The additional chain could easily be removed but I am leaving this conversion as is for those who need the additional length or like it to drape down longer than a choker length, unless you would like me to remove it. Excellent condition, all stones are very sparkly and all the cabochons are unchipped. Item: UN8-648 Price: $95.00 US ![]() |

Description: Haskellesque Black Diamond Crystal and Cream Glass Pearl Necklace - While I don't believe this is Haskell, it certainly looks like someone was trying to emulate her style - Jonne? Robert? DeMario? Eugene? Czech crystal beads in grey are held in place by rhinestone headpins, and interwoven with rhinestone balls, pave set cast metal pieces and cream colored round pearls also held by rhinestone headpins. This forms a kind of floral design with one going up and one going down. All appears to be handwired to a double filigree finding. Chain portion is a double row, one of grey crystal and one of cream glass pearls. Adjustable dog collar will accomodate up to a 15 1/2" neck. Pearls along the strand are worn, particularly at the back of the neck where they would have rubbed, but the wear is pretty difficult to see unless you are closer than 6". Pearls in the centerpiece are in pretty good shape except for the back of the top one, where it would have rubbed. The underside of the rhinestone headpins show a little verdigris. Still, in very good original vintage condition for this type of piece. I saw the matching bracelet on a well known website a few years ago, which sold for well over $200. Item: UN6-636 Price: $175.00 US ![]() |

Description: Light and Dark Topaz Glass and Glass Baroque Pearl Bib Necklace - Fabulous, impressive piece. Unfoiled glass elongated octagons are set in ribbed goldtone frames, and alternate light and dark topaz. Suspended from pval baroque pearls at the top and almost cube shaped baroque pearls hang from the bottom, held in place by goldtone endcaps. From the adjustable tail in back hangs a double-sided starfish. This looks somewhat like Haskell but the hook isn't Haskell type (maybe a replacement?) and the starfish doesn't look like any Haskell components I have seen. Pearls at upper part of necklace are quite worn; bottom pearls show wear, also, but not as much. Very slight verdigris on a couple of the endcaps. Otherwise, I can find no fault with the glass or metal pieces, and all seems to be there. Bib portion is 9" long and 3" wide; adjustable to fit up to a 14" neck and could be made longer, I believe, if desired. Item: UN5-626 Price: $185.00 US |

Description: Unsigned Haskell? Wood and Silk Cord Necklace - This is a fun to wear necklace that works well almost any time of year. Dark green silk cord is done in a modified bib with graduating wood beads and green sequins. Closure is a button thru a loop, with the hand sewing decorated, both inside and out, with more green sequins (only Haskell seems to have done this type of labor, using components in places both seen and unseen.) Wood beads are held in place with small fluted brass endcaps on both top and bottom. Silk cord is the type used by Haskell. Originally this had 13 rather than 12 dangles; one was damaged when I received it so I removed it. Other than some wear darkening on the silk cord I see no other issues. 16" when clasped. Item: UN9-640 Price: $85.00 US |

Description: Pink and White 1940's Necklace - Is this Haskell or merely a wannabe? Chalk white "cracked egg" beads with a deep rose lampworked bead inside alternate with pink glass leaves, and are suspended from a white enameled chain. Thumbless spring ring clasp, 18". Other than some slight yellowing on inside of a few of the "egg" beads I can find no flaw - leaves and beads are unchipped. Very pretty piece regardless of who made it! Description: Wide Goldtone and Clear Rhinestone Dog Collar - Clear rhinestone dog collars aren't all that uncommon but one this wide, in goldtone rather than silvertone, is. Also this features two rows of clears in a straight line at bottom and top, but the center rows are curved, making this graceful looking and a superb fit. 1 3/8" x 15" maximum length (this is adjustable.) Rhinestone set hook, everything is in excellent condition, every stone is prong set. Item: UN7-607 Price: $59.50 US ![]() |

Description: Black and Clear Rhinestone Dog Collar Necklace - This 1950's piece features square black glass bordered with clear rhinestones, and three rows of rhinestone chain connecting the 9 square "stations" that go almost around the entire necklace. Foldover clasp, 14" including clasp, 5/8" wide. A few clear stones were missing but you will have difficulty finding them. Very good condition with slight uniform darkening of the clears, which is not noticeable because of the contrast with the black stones. Item: UN7-608 Price: $42.50 US ![]() |

Description: Two Strand Necklace with Frosted White and Aurora Borealis Beads - This looks for all the world like Vendome but no signature. Oblong frosted glass also has some white "splatter" patterns on them; these alternate with crystal aurora borealis beads and triangular goldtone beads that look like crimp beads on steroids. Adjustable, longer strand is about 16" plus a 3" tail. Goldtone on terminals is somewhat worn but otherwise excellent shape. Nice with black, white, or pastels. Item: UN8-613 Price: $27.50 US |

Description: Mesh/Filigree Ball Rhinestone Chain Bib Necklace - This is very likely a D&E piece but I have not had it verified. 9 long rhinestone chain dangles culminate in a goldtone filigree ball, and all is suspended from a thin mesh chain. Hook and tail closure is finished with a rhinestone set hook and the tail terminates with another filigree ball. Adjustable to about 18". Longest center dangle is about 3". Excellent condition. Description: Possible DeLizza & Elster Aqua Cab Necklace - While I have not had this verified, this necklace has traits that D&E uses and strikes me as 1970's or 1980's production. Pendant style necklace uses 3 filigree balls, skinny aqua navettes, two sizes of aqua rounds and regular marquises, and aqua opaque oval cabochons. Dangling tassle is made up of 7 strands of chain, and fit thru a link like some of the ones used in D&E bracelets. Chain is about 30". Item: UN5-551 Price: $34.50 US |

Description: New Old Stock Pendant Necklaces - Vintage Glass - Very "moderne" looking pendants with vintage glass. Olive green and topaz necklace use inverted "v" setting, while yellow-blue bi-colored piece uses the same frame without the "v". Chains are contemporary, 16" goldtone chains. Glass pieces are 1" x 1". The bi-color necklace would look nice with the Sarah Coventry "Versaille" set, which uses the same type of center stone and did NOT ever come with a matching necklace. Priced individually. Item: UN11-548A (Olivine) Price: $18.50 US Item: UN11-548B (Yellow-Blue Bicolor) Price: $18.50 US .Item: UN11-548C (Smokey Topaz) Price: $18.50 US Sorry, SOLD! |

Description: LONG 55" Candy Bead Necklace - Lots of possibilities here, whether you want to wear as a single, double or even a triple strand necklace, or even possibly winding it around your wrist multiple times for a bracelet. Aqua and pink glass "candy" beads alternate and are separated by black seed beads. The candy beads appear to be a rectangular "wound" bead (lampworked) that has airy stripes of white. Components are well worth the price. Item: UN5-558 Price: $39.50 US ![]() |

Description: Tan Givre, Colorado Topaz AB Crystal and Seed Bead Multi Strand Necklace - Absolutely fabulous necklace 8 strand necklace with ornamental push-in clasp. Creamy seed beads with just a hint of yellow give an airyness to this by separating the larger bead stations. Just shy of 15", this will fit like a choker on most people. This would look particularly elegant on someone with a long neck and a simple, back from the face hairstyle. Item: UN3-557 Price: $85.00 US |

Description: Japanned Pendant Necklace with Black Rhinestones - While black-on-black may not sound very exciting, this piece sparkles in a subtle, elegant way. Beautiful against white, cream, or any pastel. Chain is about 28", foldover clasp may not be original but works, however it is unnecessary as this slips easily over the head. Square pendant is 3 dimensional and double sided, so no matter which side is showing it looks great. Domed and set with marquise and round jet black rhinestones. Item: UN1-545 Price: $24.00 US |

Description: Beaded Red Green Blue Egyptian Style Collar Necklace - This is probably European in origin. Round glass beads in red, green and blue dangle from opaque glass barrel shaped beads going both directions from a brass center chain. Old "thumbless" spring ring clasp. 15 1/4", 1 1/2" wide. Tremendous piece. A similar, not nearly as ornate piece, falsely identified as a Haskell piece, recently sold on rubylane for almost $700. I feel our price is a bargain. Description: Multi Strand Necklace with Bi-Colored Drops - This goldtone necklace features two different styles of chain and two different types of drops. The larger disks are clear? or pale yellow with topaz colored clouds, while the briolette type drops are mainly topaz with some lighter yellow sections on the larger drops. Very showy and attractive. Push-in clasp is embossed in a paisley type design, nested type design goes from 14" to 22" including clasp. Nice either over clothing or against bare skin. Excellent condition. Description: Savvy? (Swarovski brand) Very Long Necklace with Tiffany Balls - This is unsigned but the quality indicates that this was Swarovski and closely matches a pair of Swarovski earrings on the signed section of this site. Goldtone chain with Tiffany ball stations - Tiffany balls are all pave rhinestone set metal beads where little if any metal shows. This is claspless which is why there is no makers mark. I have doubled this for photographic purposes. This measures about 44" and is symmetrical in the ball placement. Excellent condition. Give 'em the old ball and chain and look great doing it! Item: UN1-464 Price: $45.00 US |

Description: Unsigned Rose Pink Rhinestone Line Necklace - Made like the 1950's -1960's Eisenberg pieces, these large (10mm) pink stones are heavy-prong set; the clasp, which appears to be a replacement, is not the kind that Eisenberg would have used, so it is difficult to tell. Slightly longer than the normal choker, approximately 18". The stones are foiled but open-backed; there is minor foil loss but the stones are of such excellent quality that the refraction is still superb. Silvertone setting, foldover clasp. Item: UN1-310 Price: $67.50 US Sorry, SOLD! |

Description: Taupe and Lime Green Enamel and Glass Necklace - Lovely soft colors make this flattering necklace a joy to wear. Transparent glass beads have a taupe-brown swirl that appears to be right under the surface. These alternate with frosted, aurora borealis and carmel bicone beads. Endcaps are enameled metal in the same soft brown, and the metal spacer end caps that look like the bottom part of a flower are done in a lime green that adds just enough color to keep this from looking dull. Wonderful on the light greens that continue to be fashionable. Fancy handwired clasp is a push-in v type. Necklace measures about 21"; largest bead is about 5/8" in diameter. Item: UN1-163 Price: $65.00 US |

Description: Unsigned Josef Morton 3 Strand Necklace in Blush Pink - I purchased this from a woman who said it was signed Josef Morton; when I asked her where the signature was, she said it must have fallen off (string tag) and indicated that she did not know who Josef Morton was. One look at the clasp and I was sure she was telling me the truth (see bottom picture). Opaque glass beads in very soft pink are separated by a series of clear glass and brass seed bead spacers. Terminals are double filigree, all hand-wired, and bird hook clasp, all indicators of Frank Hess, Morton's designer, and the head designer for Morton's aunt, Miriam Haskell, for many years. Circa 1960. One strand was broken so I have restrung the entire piece on silk, as per original stringing. Item: UN2-374 Price: $69.50 US |

Description: Unsigned All Handwired Glass Bead Necklace - This is an amazing example of workmanship done in a floral motif, using chalk white, frosted clear and emerald green glass leaf beads. The frosted clear glass has been formed into flowers with a prong-set clear rhinestone wired in like a roses montee, except that it isn't flat-backed. Series of leaves have been separated by clusters of chalk white beads. Link chain is done by alternating a different chalk white bead alternated with the frosted bead. Adjustable up to about 16". Description: Fenichel?? Madiera Topaz Rhinestone Choker Necklace - This looks to be Fenichel by the pronging, quality of stone, styling and heavy hook with matching rhinestone clasp (see inset) that they normally used. Fenichel is a hard to find brand but the few pieces I have seen have been top quality. The last stone is missing from the end of this piece and is perhaps where it would have been signed; this in no way alters the look or performance of this necklace, and is otherwise excellent condition. Description: Owl Pendant Necklace with Topaz Glass Belly - Just a fun piece for the owl collector. Large 3" x 1 1/2" pendant has two large smokey topaz rhinestones for eyes and flatbacked topaz glass cabochon for the body. This huge cabochon (30mmx40mm) is in an openback setting that has been slightly scratched on the foil backing but this is not noticeable on most backgrounds unless you are up close and looking for it at certain angles. Description: Green and Frosted Clear Bead Necklace - This piece features gorgeous emerald green and clear glass beads that look almost like handblown glass "pears" in the center section, with frosted and pearlized clear beads and various emerald green round and seed beads making up the chain sections. Spring ring clasp looks newer and I think this may have been restrung at some point (not by me!). Approximately 20" long. Very interesting piece. Item: UN12-156 Price: $27.50 US |

Description: Blue Cabochon anc Clear RS Necklace - Very unusual cabochon necklace with rhinestone links and pave set castings. Twelve pronged glass cabochons each have four rhinestone set leaves; these links are linked with links set with three clear rhinestones. Metal has darkened either by time or design on the top side, while underneath seems to be shiny silver plating. Adjustable hook style, with rhinestone set tail ending in a clear rhinestone pear drop - hook is also rhinestone set with clear baguettes. It is my feeling that the hook may be a long ago replacement. The cabochons get their unusual grey blue color that imitates chalcedony from dark blue foiling on the underside. One cabochon shows loss of about half of that foiling; one other has a small foiling ding. These flaws are only apparent when held up to backlighting and scrutinized carefully and do not show when worn. Fits up to 15" neck and would be extendable very easily on the hook end. Very Trifari looking or possibly Schoeffel. Item: UN12-400 Price: $59.50 US |
