Description: Unsigned Miriam Haskell Red Bead Dress Clip - A well known Haskell combination of blood red beads in various sizes and rhinestone rondelles. 3" at longest dangle, about 1 1/2" across. Confirmed clip mechanism and plastic perforated backing. Leaves are replacements, otherwise all original. Ends are secured with red seed beads. Brass on rondelles has great patina. Lovely piece. Description: Crystal Bead Brooch - This uses light sapphire and lime green crystal beads, as well as a mottled bead in shades of blue and gold, all held in place with clear rhinestone headpins, handwired into a goldtone setting. About 1 3/4" in diameter but looks larger because of the dimensionality of the beading. Lovely color combination sure to look great with almost any pastel clothing. Description: Wide Clear Rhinestone Stretch Bracelet - At 1 1/8" wide, substantial weight and hundreds of rhinestones, this is a major bracelet for major fun and bling. 7" unstretched, this would accomodate a slightly larger than 7" wrist but if too much larger you would start to see the heavy elastic thread that holds this together (which is original). Description: Pink Rhinestone Front and Back Earrings - Wonderful showgirl style earrings with vertical branch going up the ear and horizontal branch coming out from behind the earlobe and going out. Stones are all rose pink rounds and marquises (they may look lavender in the photo, but they are definitely pink.) Silvertone setting, clip mechanisms. Vertical branches 2 1/4", horizontal branches are 1 1/2". A walk-in customer broke these when she opened them because she didn't understand what they were, so these have a laser solder repair. Description: Unsigned Haskell Brooch with Green Beads - This looks to be a slightly less ornate version of a brooch shown in one of the Larry Austin watercolors for Haskell. Small green/white swirled beads are hand-wired in a semi-ball shape in the center, flanked by two deep gold colored baroque glass pearls and centered in brass leaf findings. All wired into a pierced metal screen backing covered by a flat metal piece (see photo). Description: Left-Facing Potmetal Bird Brooch - Another popular bird from the past, this one has all clear rhinestones except for a red rhinestone eye (what looks like a thorn sticking out of the head is actually a rhinestone that has picked up a weird reflection.) Description: DeLizza and Elster Black and Clear Rhinestone Earrings - A known D&E design, done with a black square glass stone in the center and three clear rhinestones on either of two sides. Silvertone, all prong set. Very early D&E had a flat tab type clip finding; apparently someone took off part of the finding and converted these to pierced, but the original "tab" is still very much there. Description: Blue Faux Moonstone Dress Clip with Clear Rhinestones - Shield shape design with lots of prong set light blue faux moonstones. Design almost looks like there should be something at the center but I can find no sign of anything missing. Clip mechanism works well and is the type used by Eisenberg, but I have no reason to believe that this is an Eisenberg piece. Large 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" size is still very wearable. Description: Exceptional Black Enamel and Clear Pave Rhinestone Leaf Earrings - Very nice earrings with substantial quality clip mechanisms. 1 1/4" in diameter, heavy rhodium plate. Those are not scratches on the plating on the clip findings, that is an etched number - P 321 DXO. With all the black and white combinations that are popular these make a great pair of fall earrings. Description: Glass Pearl Necklace in Cream and Grey Pearls - I fully expected this piece to be marked Trifari, but it is unsigned. Quality glass pearls alternate color and design in a symmetrical pattern of cream "florals" separated by grey "leaves"? with small clear rhinestones accenting each link. Light shiny goldtone chain and cast pieces. Nice weight, adjustable hook closure will accomodate up to a 16 1/2" neck, about 1" wide on cream pearl links. Description: Black and Clear Rhinestone Dog Collar Necklace - This 1950's piece features square black glass bordered with clear rhinestones, and three rows of rhinestone chain connecting the 9 square "stations" that go almost around the entire necklace. Foldover clasp, 14" including clasp, 5/8" wide. A few clear stones were missing but you will have difficulty finding them. Description: Autumn Watermelon Stone Bolo Style Necklace and Earring Set - This is a stone color that I am unsure of. Just as watermelon stones are olive green/fuchsia, this is olive green in the center with topaz-orange-brown around the outside. Whatever it is properly called, it is lovely with autumn toned clothing. All stones are in a dog-toothed setting, surrounded by a rope-turned trim and then a larger border of "striped" goldtone metal. Bolo necklace measures about 32" and needs to be at almost full extension to fit comfortably around the neck. Herringbone type chain is 1/4" wide, and ends with a fancy tip from which dangle several foxtail chains. Earrings are clip, 1 3/8" x 1" x 1/2" deep. The adjustable strands were loose when we got this and the back had to be re-corked/cold soldered so that it would slide but still hold in place when adjusted. Description: Gorgeous Pink Faux Moonstone Necklace and Earring Set - Many of these sets are "marriages"; this one is, obviously, a match. Necklace has a rounded triangular motif of teardrops in the center and baguettes on either side, surrounded by rhinestones chain. More chain, 5 rows, make up the central portion of the necklace and terminate on either side with glass moonstone rounds. The sixth row of rhinestones forms the chain, which is 15 1/2", adjustable hook clasp, tail ends with another round moonstone. Earrings repeat the necklace center motif except that the is a horizontally set marquise rather than a teardrop. Earrings are clip, 1 1/4" x 1 1/4", goldtone setting for both pieces. Description: Sterling Retro 3-D Brooch with Wired Over Stones - Another lovely floral design from the 1940's but with wired over unfoiled topaz colored glass stones and clear rhinestone florets. A volute motif across the floral stems completes the design. Vermeil (gold over sterling) setting, 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" . Description: Sterling Retro Earrings - This earrings look much better in person than they photographed - there's nothing like a flash camera to make minute scratches appear to be terrible! (and unless this type of piece was never worn, they all have a certain amount of scratches) At any rate, these earrings don't come along very frequently and they would make a nice marriage with any of the 1940's Coro pieces that you will find in the signed section. Description: DeLizza and Elster aka Juliana Brooch/Pendant in Red/Red Aurora Borealis Stones - A maltese cross type design, this same design is shown in black in Ann Pitman's Juliana Jewelry Reference book, on pg. 271, and not listed as a brooch/pendant but simply a brooch, and the matching bracelet, necklace and earrings are shown in red. Usual layered construction, this starts with a large dark siam round surrounded by a border of smaller dark siam stones, then flanked by four large chatons in an "x" pattern alternating with sets of three skinny navettes (unfoiled). Bottom layer has sets of 4 skinny navettes alternating with sets of three red aurora borealis stones. 2 1/4" in diameter at widest points, all prong set, very glittery. There seem to be some very slight color differences in the skinny navettes, which may be due to light direction and the fact that the stones are unfoiled; I have no reason to believe that these are not original to the piece. Very good original condition with only two navettes having slightly nicked ends. Goldtone setting. Difficult to find piece. Item: UP7-664 Price: $110.00 US |

Description: Pink and Clear Rhinestone Retro Brooch and Earrings Set - It is fairly unusual to find matched sets of this type, and this is a really nice example of retro styling, with curves and volutes abounding. Metal is unknown, looks like sterling but not tarnished, goldtone plating is a nice quality. Brooch uses rectangular octagon pink stones that are prong set, and accented with either single clears or sets of three clears. Screwback earrings are a nice balance and echo the stone and volute pattern of the brooch. Earrings are 1" x 1/2", brooch is 3" x 2" at widest points. Loop on the back of the brooch could possibly be strung on a chain to use as a necklace pendant, although I am not certain this was the intention. Very nice condition with darkening to one of the brooch's pink stones and some mild scratches on the backsides. Item: US7-718 Price: $49.50/set US   |
