Description: Trifari Briolette Series Brooch in Sapphire Blue/Silvertone - Almost all of the Briolette pieces were done in goldtone; this is one of the few colors in shiny/brushed silvertone; I would consider this a scarce color combination for this design. This is a very vibrant blue, almost cobalt, in person; the crystals themselves are actually round with a section cut off of the back that is then mirrored; kind of a combination bead/rhinestone. Front of leaves/ties are shiny silvertone, back is a matte brushed silvertone. About 1 5/8" in diameter and between 1/4" and 3/8" DEEP. Excellent condition. Description: Fenichel Necklace and Bracelet Set in Lt./Dk. Blue Rhinestone - Fabulous set uses dark sapphire rectangular stones alternating with sets of two light sapphire rounds. Shiny silvertone (rhodium?) plate and the exceptional quality stones for which Fenichel is justly famous. Necklace has adjustable bejeweled hook and rhinestone tail, up to 15 1/2". This should hang as a choker, not a dogcollar. Bracelet is 7" with bejeweled push in v clasp. Both pieces 3/8" wide. Necklace is signed, bracelet is not. Excellent condition. Description: Kramer "Barberpole" Clear Rhinestone Earrings - These were sparkly enough that the camera simply didn't know where to focus on the first shot, please see the lower picture for a better idea. Individual pronged rhinestones are set in a curved line over a cylindrical frame - please note these aren't rhinestone chain, but actually individual stones that go entirely around the 3-D cylinder design. The cylinder then is attached to a metal frame to hold it to the clip part. Signed Kramer on the ear clip mechanism, which has a keyhole top. 1 1/8" x 3/8" x 1/2" deep. Description: Eisenberg Clear Rhinestone Twin Pins - A somewhat unusual genre for Eisenberg, these are marked with both Eisenberg on a rectangular plaque; one is also marked with a 4 digit number that looks like 2704. Description: Jomaz Enamel, Rhinestone and Faux Turquoise Brooch and Earring Set - The epitome of early 1960's glamour, this set features cream and aqua enamel, clear rhinestone pave and glass faux turquoise cabochons. Brooch measures 2 3/4" x 1 1/4"; clip earrings are 1 1/8" x 3/4". Goldtone setting, close to mint condition, truly elegant, in the style of Jacqueline Kennedy. Description: ART "Garland" Christmas Tree Pin - This ART tree is shown in Morrison, Gallina and Trowbridge, and has been nickednamed the "garland" tree, and apparently came in both this version and one with olive green enamel under the "snow". Typical rhinestone colors of hyacinth, amber, emerald and cobalt. Excellent condition - one green stones seems a little large but I can find no evidence that it is a replacement. 2 1/8" x 1 1/8". Description: West German Cameo Necklace and Earring Set - Pendant necklace and earrings are centered with a prongset applied cameo over a faux tortoiseshell base. Filigree setting uses paste set small white pearls and smoky topaz rhinestones. Earrings are clip, 1" x 7/8", goldtone setting with clip findings marked W. Germany. Description: KJL White Lucite? Rose Pin and Earrings Set - A well-known design for this company, this uses an opaque white plastic for the rose blossom with a paved center, border on the black enamel leaves, and on the stem on the brooch. The brooch's rose is slightly more white in some lights than the earrings, and the pieces are marked slightly differently - the earrings are marked with a copyright symbol and KJL on both the clip mechanism and the back of the earring; the brooch is also marked with the copyright symbol and KJL but the goldtone setting underneath the pinstem actually says Korea! which apparently means it was made for QVC. Description: Eisenberg Octagonal Cut Clear Rhinestone Bracelet - Another classically elegant look for Eisenberg, octagonal stones were used in single, double and triple lines; in this case it is a single line with paved swirls. 7", everything but the pave is prong set. Push in clasp is set with a single rhinestone; safety chain. Rhodium plating, everything looks to be original and in excellent condition. Goes well with Eisenberg necklace SN2-295. Description: Coro Clear RS Floral Spray - This piece is signed Coro in script and has Pat. No. 125883, which would put the design patent at early 1941 with the patent owner listed as Gene Verricchio. Measuring 3 1/2" x 1 3/4" at the widest points and done in all clear rhinestones in rounds and oval shapes, this piece is showing some signs of aging; the smaller ovals at the top of third stem from the right have darkened, and the larger ovals have small amounts of foil loss along faceting lines due to being in open back setting; however, they are NOT dark. All of the piece is pave set, and a few of the small stones have darkened, and a few have been replaced. All in all, however, not at all bad for a piece over 60 years old. Description: Trifari Sterling Tortoise Jelly Belly Brooch - At least I think he's a tortoise. Book piece. Marked Crown Trifari and Sterling and Des. Pat. No. 185170. Produced in 1943. The belly portion is Lucite that has turned yellow-gold, for unknown reasons, presumably age (yes, Lucite can turn yellow, according to plastics expert Karima Parry's book on bakelite bangles.) Description: Laguna Crystal Bead Brooch Set - Laguna pieces always seem to be beautifully made, and this is no exception. Madeira topaz aurora borealis and emerald green aurora borealis glass beads are attached to cagework with clear rhinestone headpins in the center, regular headpins along edges. Clip earrings measure 1 1/4" x 3/4", brooch is a stylized leaf measuring 2" x 1 1/4". $47.50/set

Description: Kramer Netted Blue Rhinestone Earrings - One of the unusual types of things this company did was to put various colored (usually black) netting over stones in a design, giving them kind of the look of a (hair) snood. Light blue sapphire rhinestones are used throughout, with only the larger rounds being netted. There is aging to most of the stones, but between the netting and the fact that the stones are set in an antiqued dark silvertone, makes it all blend together beautifully. 1 1/4" x 1", clip mechanism is signed Kramer. Description: Kramer Aurora Borealis Earrings - A simple, very wearable style, using clear aurora borealis stones prong set in goldtone, alternating baguettes with a set of two rounds. 3/4" x 3/8", marked Kramer on the clip back. I don't know whether the clipslip cushions are original or not, but they are in very good shape, as are the rest of these earrings.

Description: Trifari Baguette and Round Rhinestone Linked Choker and Bracelet Set - A truly elegant set, probably a Philippe design, made to look like fine jewelry. Nine graduated clear baguette rhinestones are paste set in each full link (and there are 12 in the necklace, 5 full links in the bracelet, plus a divided link with foldover clasp); those links are connected by a single round rhinestone fancy cut dentelle link. Over 180 stones in this set; all set in Trifari's patented rhodium plating. Necklace has djustable hook clasp, will fit up to a 16 1/2" neck; bracelet is 7 1/4". A note to those of you interested in top notich design, the necklace has links that curve on one side to make the necklace fit the curve of the neck, while the bracelet curves outward on both sides so it will lie properly on your wrist. Obviously well thought thru by a master jeweler. The real McCoy would be thousands of dollars; you don't have to tell! I have recently found a 1955 Trifari ad that says this set was called "Rhapsody" and the above earrings are a match. Original price for the demi would have been $50.00 in 1955. Description: Trifari Citrine/Topaz/Clear Rhinestone Brooch - All stones are rhinestones, not genuine. Three topaz colored ovals go up the left side and four citrine (bright yellow) go down the right side, with clear rounds around the outside and clea baguettes up the middle. Goldtone shiny Trifanium, excellent condition; goldtone is NOT worn, dark spots in the plating are reflections and not wear. One baguette is a replacement. 1 3/4" x 1 1/8", though smaller, this is of excellent quality and is a match to some of the nicest 1950's pieces that Trifari produced.

Description: Bogoff Floral Necklace with Topaz & Clear Rhinestones - One of my favorite Bogoff designs, this uses topaz marquises and rounds and clear round rhinestones in a stylized floral design that alternates 3 larger and 4 smaller florals in the center front and continues the chain around in the usual Bogoff manner of using a more fancy than standard chain, this time a link chain with two clear rhinestones in each link. This culminates at the tail with the usual large dentelle with the Bogoff signature on the back, and a heavier than usual hook that was also standard for Bogoff. This is adjustable up to 16", slightly less than 1" across on the larger florals. This is done with a goldtone setting, which is much less common for this company. Excellent condition. Description: Bogoff Intense Light Blue and Clear Rhinestone Bracelet and Earring Set - Absolutely stunning. Square blue stones are surrounded by clear round rhinestones in a double row on the bracelet and a curved single row for the clip earrings. Bracelet has hidden push-in clasp and safety chain, 7" x 1". Earrings are 1" x 5/8". Silvertone, excellent if not pristine condition. Top of the line Bogoff.

Description: Carol Dauplaise Long Single Strand Necklace in Aqua/Amethyst - 30" long strand with opaque turquoise colored glass beads, goldtone findings and what I am pretty certain are tumbled genuine amethyst quartz "nuggets". Nice weight; sliding typical Dauplaise locking clasp works well but you probably won't need it as this fits easily over your head. Works equally well on its own or as a layering piece. Description: Otis Sterling Deco Style Brooch - This was a design that Otis used for not only brooches but bracelets and necklaces as well. The Otis "look" seems to have always been a fine jewelry one, using lots of small stones. This particular piece uses rounds, baguettes and squares, with the focal point being a kind of wheel in the center flanked by open circles and bars at either end. All clear rhinestones are used with all being paste set except for the baguettes that have end pronging. All seems original and in excellent shape, with some uniform darkening of the stones but still lots of sparkle. 2 3/8" x almost 3/4" at widest point at the middle. Description: Coro Light Blue AB Rhinestone Floral Brooch and Earring Set - This design is, I believe, a 1960's variation of an earlier Coro design that was originally done in enamel/rhinestones. This uses no enamel but has a silvertone setting with all light sapphire aurora borealis rhinestones. Brooch is 3" x 1 1/4"; matching clip earrings are 1 1/4" x 5/8". Excellent condition except for very small plating loss at crook of stem. Because of the position of the pin stem the brooch should perhaps be worn "upside down". Item: SS8-602 Price: $29.50/set US |

Description: Sarah Coventry Fashion Flower Brooch & Earrings Set - One of SC's most popular sets because it uses red aurora borealis rhinestones, this light goldtone set uses a floral motif that is very three dimensional. Using curved filigree pieces as petals and centering the pieces with round siam AB rhinestones, each piece has a large stone in the center, and the brooch has a single stone accenting the open leaves. The brooch is 3 7/8" x 1 3/4" x 1/2+" deep. Earrings are 1 1/8" in diameter and about 1/2" deep (I believe these are the smaller of the two earring styles that match this design series). Clip findings and back of the brooch are all marked SARAHCOV with a copyright symbol. As with almost all SC pieces, these are in excellent original condition. Item: SS8-863 Price: $34.50/set US |
