Description: Nettie Rosenstein Sterling Fur Clip - One of the fashion industry icons from the 1920's-1950's, Rosenstein's name is synonomous with elegance and taste, and her better jewelry items are sought after and not easy to find. Because of the use of sterling on this piece I would date it to the early to mid 1940's. This uses a leaves and berries motif, with coral colored glass wound beads topped with black glass dots. I'm not sure what berry this is supposed to portray. At any rate, while this is not in perfect condition, it is a worthy addition to any jewelry collection and extremely wearable. There are two black glass dots missing on one berry but the bead can be rotated so that those are on the back side. Vermeil (goldtone over sterling) finish is worn along edges but is still in quite good condition compared to many pieces of the same time frame/materials. About 2" x 1 3/4", clip mechanism is tight. Oh so pretty on black, coral, or even white. Classic design means wearable forever. Item: SF1-584 Price: $159.00 US |

Description: Lovely Joseph Wiesner NY Basket Brooch - The flowerbasket motif is one of my favorites - if you have seen the book "All My Baskets" you know how many beautiful designs there are. Joseph Wiesner seems to be kind of a mystery figure in the jewelry world, with little known about him. It does appear that he is not the same as "Wiesner of Miami". At any rate, aqua and clear rhinestones seems to be a favorite color combination of this company, and I would guess this to be late 1940's-early 1950's. A large 2 5/8" x 2 5/8", this features one large a many small aqua rhinestone ovals, and the rest in clear round rhinestones. Silvertone setting, excellent condition. Item: SP1-610 Price: $99.50 US |

Description: Eisenberg Original Pair of Floral Brooches in Emerald/Clear Rhinestone - Eisenberg Original pieces are most often dress or fur clips; brooches are more unusual and a pair, particularly in colored stones and fairly sizeable ( almost 3" x 1 3/4") are quite rare. These are in excellent condition and the only thing that prevents these from being in "mint" condition is that the oval clears have uniformly greyed with time. If you like a "brand new" look I suppose those could be replaced, but I personally do not feel that these detract in any way. The plating has a slight coppery tinge, which I am assuming is either patina or an intentional "rose gold" type look that was popular when these would have been produced. Item: SS1-659 Price: $325.00/pr. US |

Description: Beautiful Haskell Seed Pearl Bracelet - Link style bracelet in goldtone with two sizes of seed pearls surrounding a center pearl; hexagonal double filigrees with slide in clasp; signature is in oval cartouche with raised letters, safety chain. Links are connected with upper and lower jump rings. Bracelet is approximately 7 1/2" x 7/8". Some wear to pearls, with larger seed pearls showing the most wear (1 is missing). All the rest of the pearls are intact; metal shows little wear except for some on clasp inside, I can detect no verdigris. Lovely delicate look that reflects the femininity of fashion in the 1950's. Item: SB1-528 Price: $195.00 US |

Description: Trifari Alfred Philippe Smokey Topaz/Black Diamond Rhinestone Floral Brooch - There are those who turn up their noses at 1950's-1960's Trifari, probably because they have not seen the top of the line pieces. This is a color variation of the fuchsia/black diamond parure seen in Deanna Farneti Cera's "Amazing Gems"; this color combination is MUCH more difficult to find. Dark brown oval rhinestones comprise the petals, with the edges, center and stem of the flower done in black diamond rhinestone pave. Plating is a muted goldtone that I have only seen on this particular design series. Marked Trifari with crown and copyright symbol, this measures about 2 5/8" x 2". The quantity of stones and attention to detail makes this a particularly lovely piece. Excellent condition, with a few stones replaced but you will not be able to tell which. Item: SP1-689 Price: $185.00 US |

Description: Bogoff Wide Clear Rhinestone Bracelet - Bogoff bracelets seem to be much more difficult to find than necklaces or earrings, and this one's size make it even more remarkable. 7/8" wide; seven links with a hidden push-in clasp and safety chain. 7". Clear paste-set marquises and rounds, all stones are original. Very slight yellowing of a few marquises, otherwise I can find no flaw. Item: SB1-399 Price: $120.00 US |

Description: Trifari Late 1940's Dark Blue/Clear Rhinestone Earrings - Probably a Philippe design, this uses those strange and desirable clip findings that look almost like dress clips. Dark blue prong set oval rhinestones with plenty of clear paste set pave. A few of the clears are replacements. 1" x 3/4". Exquisite. Item: SE1-301 Price: $87.50 US |

Description: Rare Eisenberg Original Pair of Fur Clips - While Eisenberg made many spectacular dress and fur clips, they rarely made pairs of clips or did duettes. I am not certain whether these are duettes without a frame, or simply a set of matching fur clips. Substantial in feel, these use double riveted construction and are quite three dimensional. The cornered pears have yellowed slightly but are not clouded or spotted except for very slightly cloudiness at the top of one stone. The pave work has darkened, but I would expect that on legitimate 70 year old plus pieces. 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x about 5/8" deep, plating is in excellent condition and clips work well. Item: SF1-613 Price: $225.00 US |

Description: Lisner Translucent Fruit Earrings - A kissing cousin to the translucent leaves, these fruit? nut? earrings are a jonquil yellow frosted art glass accented with jonquil rhinestones in a goldtone setting. Clip mechanism, about 1" x 1". Excellent original condition. Item: SE1-249 Price: $25.00 US |

Description: Hattie Carnegie Trembler Grasshopper Brooch - And this baby really DOES tremble! Green and navy enamel on goldtone, clear rhinestone eyes. One eye may have been a replacement, which is pretty typical for this type of piece. 2" x 1" by about 7/8" deep. A wonderful conversation piece. I never cease to be amazed by the variety and ingentuity of Carnegie jewelry. Item: SP1-486 Price: $135.00 US ![]() |

Description: Magnificient Eisenberg Block E Necklace - This substantial feeling piece uses all clear keystone and baguette rhinestones with the baguettes providing the chain and the keystone adding the fringe. Slide-in clasp with safety chain (highly unusual to have a safety chain on a necklace!), 15" x 5/8". Rhodium plating is in excellent condition as are the stones, with only a few of the baguettes showing mild signs of aging. The block E mark is rare and presumably dates to the mid 1940's, though my gut instinct says that this is post WWII and more likely late 1940's-early 1950's. I have seen a matching bracelet for this. Item: SN1-531 Price: $139.50 US ![]() |

Description: Kramer Blue Rectangular Brooch - This reverse stepped design features light sapphire blue baguette and emerald cut rhinestones around the perimeter for two rows, and the third (inner) row is done in medium sapphire baguette and emerald cut rhinestones. Center stone is a large emerald cut in the same medium sapphire color. Silvertone setting, measures 1 7/8" x 1 1/2". Signed Kramer of New York. Almost certainly manufactured by DeLizza and Elster. Item: SP1-003 Price: $89.00 US |

Description: Wiesner Aqua and Clear Earrings - Even though I found these in a completely different place than the Wiesner basket brooch SP1-610 , these appear to be a match! Silvertone, clip, all the aqua ovals are prong set and the pave clears are in excellent shape. 1 1/8" x 7/8". Wiesner is infrequently found. Item: SE1-686 Price: $34.50 US |

Description: Eisenberg Fuchsia & Purple Rhinestone Brooch and Earring Set- Circa late 1950's pieces that are absolutely beautiful. Eisenberg excelled in sparkling colored and clear rhinestone pieces, this is probably their ultimate "mixed" color combination. Brooch uses marquise, round (dentelle cut) and pear shaped purple stones, round fuchsia rhinestones, and clear pave set wings and "tree" shapes. Clip earrings use round (dentelle and chaton) and marquise purples and marquise fuchsias with clear pave set "clovers". Rhodium plate settings. Brooch is 2 1/2" x 2"; slightly domed and layered, this is about 3/8" deep. Earrings are 1 3/8" x 3/4". A few clears are replacements on the brooch, otherwise excellent original condition. Item: SS1-694 Price: $195.00/set US On HOLD |

Description: Huge Vendome By-pass Hinged Cuff - An impressive piece in silvertone with medium blue faux moonstones, and light, medium and dark sapphire rhinestones. The stones go completely around the piece. Excellent condition, with one slightly darkened stone at the very back. This would best fit someone with a large wrist but for those who are small but love big pieces you might be able to make this work by putting on top of a sweater. 7/8" wide at back, about 2 1/4" wide at the by-pass. This is a book piece, shown in Judith Miller's Collector's Guide to Costume Jewelry. Item: SB1-658 Price: $175.00 US ![]() |

Description: ORA Foliate Design Choker Necklace - Done in silvertone with all clear pave set rhinestones, this is one of the loveliest designs I have seen for this brand. Center of necklace has alternating larger up and down leaves, while chain portion has more of a y-shaped link made up of tiny leaves. The design goes around the entire necklace; foldover clasp is also rhinestone set. 14 3/4" x 5/8" at the widest points. All stones are there and original, excellent condition in all respects and a true masterpiece of beauty from this Chicago based company. Item: SN1-530 Price: $95.00 US ![]() |

Description: Haskell Floral Brooch - Done in antiqued (Russian?) silvertone, this charming piece has all prong set clear rhinestones, with the largest stone in the center, surrounded by smaller clears, and then 5 glass pearlized petals, then surrounded by tiny "leaves" of clear rhinestones in sets of twos and threes, with an occasional larger single stone. Just shy of 2" in diameter (about 1 7/8"), this uses the Miriam Haskell horseshoe logo. This plaque is the earliest one used by Haskell but the company used this intermittently even in the 1970's so it should not be used to definitively date a piece. I am guessing 1950's for this particular piece. The ends of the petals have, to varying extend, lost their pearlized finish, but otherwise this seems to be in excellent condition. Item: SP1-702 Price: $129.50 US |

Description: Gene Verri (Verrecchia) Rose Goldwash Brooch - Though this is not a vintage piece I am putting it here because of the style. Made by Gene Verrecchia, head designer for Coro for many years and now owner of his own company, Gemcraft, this brooch was sold to members of VFCJ (Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry) as a special bonus a few years ago. The design is dominated by three large unfoiled green glass pear stones and accented with red aurora borealis rhinestones. 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" and very 3-D with substantial weight. Limited edition. Two other styles available - please inquire. Item: SP1-173 (pictured) Price: $89.50 US ![]() |

Description: Early 1940's Huge Reinad Floral Brooch - Reinad jewelry is scarce, and large (4 3/8" x 2 5/8") multi layer pieces are a "once every 20 years if you're lucky" find. This is the only piece I've seen in person. Goldtone, prong set purple stones in second layer are accented with bead set clears and a pave set crescent shape, from which emanates a 5-fingered layer with an underlayer of 7 clear rhinestone set fingers. Purple layer surmounts an all-metal layer of leaves, which sits atop of another layer of leaves which have a ruffled appearance and are bordered with small clears, all atop pave set stems. This item has some condition issues; quite a few of the clears are replacements, and the top "five fingers", as well as back of piece, show plating wear. All metal layeralmost appears to be sterling, as it is a different color, almost rose gold in appearance but somewhat darkened. However, design, rarity, size, and beauty far outweigh these relatively minor condition issues. As one well-known jewelry author says, "if you find a piece of Reinad, buy it". Description: ORA earrings in light sapphire blue and clear rhinestones - Light blue marquises and clear rhinestone pave set in rhodium plated silver. Clip mechanisms; about 1 1/2" x 1". Description: Alice Caviness Jonquil and Topaz Rhinestone Earrings - Very sparkly in person! Stones are all prong set in goldtone, dome shaped. 1 1/8" in diameter. Jonquil (light yellow) marquises surround a center clear stone; borders are done in a double row of topaz rounds and marquises Caviness jewelry is difficult to find. Excellent quality and condition. Description: Sphinx Baroque Cab Pearl and Rhinestone Earrings - At first glance these might be mistaken for Haskell. Center "bumpy" pearl is surrounded by 5 smaller smooth cream colored glass pearls and 5 marquise shaped rhinestones. Clip mechanism, not quite 1" in diameter. Also marked E2217, apparently a style number. Sphinx is an English company that I believe is still in business but is not found very often this side of the pond! Item: SE1-140 Price: $25.00 US |

Description: L/N (Little Nemo) Patriotic Eagle with Olive Branch Brooch - This piece has a lot going for it - a 70+year old patriotic piece in a less often used theme than the more traditional flag pieces, and certainly not the usual Little Nemo piece. Red, white and blue enamel is great shape for age, with some dings on the head and right wing; stones are all there. 2 1/4" x 2" and 3 dimensional with each wing being separate and spaced, body is domed. Potmetal, silvertone. If you are a L/N or patriotic collector you will enjoy this piece. Item: SP1-433 Price: $59.50 US |

Description: Fenichel Collar Necklace - When people refer to collars they usually mean a stand-up dog collar type. This literally looks like a collar! Whether worn with an evening gown or over the top of a sweater, this piece is impressive in person, a real show stopper. Topaz colored baguettes edge the design and the inner portion is filled with lines of jonquil (light yellow) rhinestone chain. Adjustable hook closure, necklace will fit up to a 16" neck. About 3" from neckchain to corner. Even the hook and end were rhinestone set. Excellent condition. Fenichel is infrequently seen and always seems to be top quality. Item: SN1-612 Price: $165.00 US |

Description: Schoffel Austria Riviere Necklace and Earring Set - While my picture would indicate a dark brown for the stones here, these are honey colored in person, and absolutely beautiful stones they are! All dog-toothed prong set in goldtone, the stones are all 11mm in diameter with the exception of smaller 6mm stones used on the tail. Clip earrings use an unusual clip finding. All pieces marked with the Schoffel crown mark. Goldtone setting, wonderful quality and heft. Earrings are about 7/8", necklace adjusts up to 16". Item: SS1-662 Price: $165.00/set US ![]() |

Description: Trifari Crown Brooch and Earring Set- Trifari made several crown designs over the years; this is probably the most popular, and here it is, in close to pristine condition in the most desired color combination. The large unfoiled cabochons are in royal blue, while the smaller oval cabochon and the rhinestones that are red are ruby colored - not fire engine red, but a beautiful raspberry that is half way between fuchsia and red. The emerald green oval stone in faceted and is flanked by smaller emerald green rounds; channel set green baguettes encircle the upper bottom; the rest is set with clear rhinestone pave, with a lone montana blue rhinestone at the top. Earrings have the same oval cabochons, with matching ruby rhinestone rounds and clear pave on the top of the swirl. Goldtone Trifanium heavy plating, very slightly worn on the back of brooch, earrings are unworn. Clears are clean and sparkly, as are all the rest of the stones. Patented in 1944, this seems to be a slightly postwar version, probably done about the time of Elizabeth II's coronation. It must be noted that since Trifari used a crown in their logo (as on this piece) that this design might have been used for that reason as well. About 2" x 1 5/8" for the brooch, 1" x 5/8" for the earrings. It doesn't get much closer to perfect than this. Item: SS1-585 Price: $245.00/set US ![]() |
