Description: Florentine Panteah Gan Dancer? Cuff Bracelet - One of the most respected Zuni artists of the 1960's and 70's, Mr. Panteah's work is difficult to find and continues to appreciate in value. Done in what appears to be mother of pearl, coral, turquoise and onyx, this intricate inlay depicts a scene that my extremely limited knowledge of Native American culture does not wish to speculate upon as I would undoubtedly be wrong, but may be a Gan dancer. (If anyone would be so kind as to let me know, I would appreciate it.) Quite heavy, 1 1/4" back opening and 1 7/16" wide. Also incised with what I am assuming is the name of the original owner. A collectors' piece to cherish. A similar piece was recently for sale on ebay for almost 3X our price, and was not as nice.

Sorry, SOLD!

Description: Mexican Silver and Onyx Bracelet and Earring Set - Bracelet is marked 925 on one end, sterling and "xico" on the other, plus something else that I can't identify because of the unevenness of the stamping. Made of four slightly curved hinged links, with each link having two diamond shaped onyx sections that is actually made up of a square and four small triangular pieces; each onyx shape is separated by silver (almost an inlaid effect), and each diamond shape accented with small silver balls. Made for a small 6 1/2" wrist. Push in clasp. Matching earrings are screwback and marked sterling and also Hecho en Mexico and other markings that I cannot see because the finding is in the way.

Item: XS3-121

Price: $79.50 US

Description: Sterling Charm Bracelet with Western and Miscellaneous Themes - The chain portion of the bracelet is marked JB in a triangle and Sterling on the clasp female end and Pat. 3308517 on the male end. Charms are partly sterling as well, the alarm clock is marked with three numbers on the side but I cannot say for certain that the numbers are 925. Camel is unmarked but appears to be sterling, one leg broken off. Slot machine? has a hanging pennant that says Ponderosa Ranch and has an unknown mark plus some tiny letters that are almost readable. Charm itself says STEEPJ (I thought it said STER PJ but the mark is so poorly struck that it is not definite.) Thunder Bay charm does says "STER". Wyoming charm says CREA and STER. A western style vest has another Ponderosa Ranch pennant; I can't find any marks other than the same noted above on the other (both of these pennants look to be sterling). Ship (is this an oceanliner?) is marked HOLIDAY and I believe says SILVER. Very good condition, the only issue is a little corrosion where the heavy jump rings attach a few of the charms. Safety chain looks original. About 7 1/2", 43.4 grams tw. I could find no reference to the JB sterling mark in Rainwater, so unfortunately I do not know what company this is. Apparently the Ponderosa Ranch was a theme park that traded on the popularity of the television show "Bonanza".

Description: Mexican Sterling Slide Pendant - This appears to be onyx and sterling; mark is Mexico and 925, also TU-??. The number is possibly 50 but is so poorly struck that who can say. I have not cleaned this piece. 4.3g tw. 11/16" square (18mm). Bail opening is 6mm so this would accomodate a fairly sizeable chain or cord.

Description: FarFan Sterling Bracelet with Green Stone "Faces" - Marked "FarFan" in the center of a circle with 925 and Hecho around the outside and some other illegiblel writing that I assume would say "en Mexico" if it had been stamped squarely. Also, an eagle mark with a 13 in the center. Billie Hougart's book on Mexican markings indicates that this was a mark supposed to be reserved for William Spratling but that it often is seen on FarFan and Los Ballesteros and even Antonio Pineda pieces. I have not been able to find out anything about FarFan except that this mark was probably manufactured in Mexico City. I am assuming that these faces are stone but what exactly it is is unknown - too warm to be glass and seems unlikely to be plastic, pieces are quite uniform but don't seem to be identical. Piece has 9 hinged links; push -in clasp. 7 1/8" x 5/8".

Description: Mexican Sterling Filigree and Onyx Pin Pendant - This piece uses a large oval black cabochon, about 29mm x 38mm, surrounded by two rows of wire work in a lacy pattern. Total size of piece including wire work border is about 2 1/8" x 2 1/2". Back is marked Sterling, then a row of that says 0925 (universal sterling symbol) and what appears to be IAPP, then Guad, Mex for Guadalahara, Mexico, and another mark that I am not familiar with.

Item: XPRLS-665

Price: $50.00 US

•••

Description: Mexican Sterling Green Mask Earrings - These are probably a little darker forest-y green than what is indicated in my picture; they would make a nice set with the FarFan bracelet above. Earrings are screwback and are marked "Mexico Silver" around the part where the finding is attached to the back of the earring body. About 1" x 1/2". Excellent original condition.

Item: XE3-138

Price: $24.50 US

•••

Description: Mexican Sterling Earrings with Onyx - Screwback earrings are marked "Silver Mexico" on both findings and one earring is marked 925 Mexico. Apparently these were handmade as the left earring measures 1 mm smaller horizontally than the right earring. Small fracture on righthand earring. 3/4" x 7/16".

Item: XE3-159

Price: $12.50 US

•••

Description: Sterling Canadian Sash Pin - This piece is marked sterling in two places and has a hallmark that I have not been able to identify.  Burgundy enamel outlines the pin; center maple leaf has green, yellow and red-orange in what appears to be a kind of cloisonné style.  Slight loss of enameling on some of the tips of the maple leaf.  Priced accordingly

Item: XP3-031

Price: $65.00 US

Description: Spanish 3-D Ship Pin - This is marked simply "Spain" and is done to simulate "Toledo Gold" work. About 1 1/2" in diameter and 3/8" deep. Probably a tourist piece, perhaps depicting a ship of Columbus's time or a Spanish Armada vessel.

Item: XP3-082

Price: $15.00 US

Description: Sterling Topazio Portugal Filigree Brooch - A well-made, 3-dimensional piece that has a vermeil goldwash on the main portion of the leaves and high points of the center, with the border and curved areas between the "spokes" in silver, that has darkened to a lovely patina. Nice two-tone look, about 1 3/4" in diameter and 1/2" deep at the center. Quality pinback, center back says Topazio Portugal on the outside ring and sterling and ? on the inside ring. Unusual piece.

Item: XP3-167

Price: $22.50 US

Description: David Andersen Norway Sterling White Enamel Earrings - These earrings came in several colors; here we have the white enamel version. Both clip mechanisms are marked "metall", which I assume means the body is sterling but the clip findings are not. Marked D-A, 925 S, Sterling, Norway, with a W in a circle and a star in a circle that precedes the D-A. Excellent condition with a little tarnish along the metal edge.

Item: XE3-180

Description: Carl Art Sterling Hinged Bangle Bracelet - Nicely etched front with an area for engraving; back is shiny silver. Inside is marked sterling and connector mechanism bar inside clasp is marked CA with an arrow going thru, which I believe is the mark of Carl Art. Approximately 1/2" wide and slightly oval; interior measures 2 1/2" across by 2 1/8" and inner circumference is slightly over 7". 23.7 grams, inside is worn, back shows some mil surface scratching.

Item: XB3-103

Price: $59.50 US

•••

Description: Valfran, Brody and Balardi Sterling Retro Brooch - Done in a "pinwheel" design, this piece has mellowed to the point where I am not sure whether this is yellow or rose gold wash - it is almost an in-between color. Center is made like half of a rhinestone ball. Stones are glass smokey topaz colored rhinestones that are in very good condition foil-wise considering the open back setting. This is a very rare brand about which I have not been able to find any information.

Item: SP7-198
