This New York City-based company is still very much in business, producing high quality, classic designs that can be easily described as "investment" pieces. This is an expensive line when purchased brand new, so those pieces found on the secondary market can be viewed as a bargain.

Description: Ciner Glass Pearl and Rhinestone Bracelet - The 2nd bracelet of this design that I have had in the past few years, this is done in a dark cream glass pearl in three rows, alternating with clear rhinestone bars to make an elegant "fine jewelry" look bracelet. 75 glass pearls and 76 clear rhinestones including the rhinestone set foldover clasp and half moon ends; many separate parts make for the very flexible styles that Ciner is rightly noted for. Safety chain, 6 7/8" x 5/8". Other than some of the clear rhinestones having yellowed, this is in excellent condition, with the pearls unscuffed. We can replace the yellowed stones if you desire. Description: Large Ciner 3-D Fruit Design Brooch - Magnificent apple? strawberry? brooch in black diamond and clear rhinestones all paste set in a beautiful goldtone. The black diamond stones that make up the body of the piecedo not have the blue-ish cast that I see on my monitor; in fact, this was so sparkly that it was difficult to get a good shot. Description: Ciner Cloverleaf ? Earrings - I am assuming these match pieces with a floral type pattern so I'm not sure my design description is quite accurate! These are actually quite delicate in appearance in person, measuring about 3/4" x 5/8" in person, emulating a fine jewelry look and as with all Ciner, very nicely done. Silvertone, clip, emerald green stones with small clears, all stones original. Clears have yellowed very slightly, commensurate with being approximately 50 years old. French clip mechanism marked Ciner. These were probably originally quite expensive. Notice on the back that one is marked L and the other R so that you put them on the correct ears! Description: Ciner Bracelets in Pearl and Rhinestone - One of Ciner's best known and loved designs- small glass pearls alternating with rhinestone set silvertone metal bars. I purchased these as a set, you can buy one or both, please note that these are NOT identical. TOP: Clear rhinestone set foldover clasp with clear rhinestone set terminals. 3 rows of light cream glass pearls. One pearl is peeling, the rest seem to be in fine shape. Description: BOTTOM: Again, three rows of glass pearls alternating with clear rhinestones, slightly whiter color than top bracelet. I have restrung this; when I received it someone had tried to repair one or two broken strands by sewing, so I completely restrung the entire piece. All pearls in excellent shape except on the fancy push-in clasp, where the higher layer of pearls has worn spots. These could probably be replaced, if desired, for an additional fee. 6 1/2", both pieces about 5/8" wide. Beautiful piece. Back side picture is of the lower bracelet.
