Bogoff - Spear Novelty
Bogoff was a Chicago based (Spear Novelty) company that appears to have opened just after World War 2 and closed in the early 1960's. Known for its distinctive chains and elegant designs, it has proven to have a large fan base among collectors. Plating on the higher end pieces is almost always rhodium.

Description: Bogoff Wide Clear Rhinestone Bracelet - Bogoff bracelets seem to be much more difficult to find than necklaces or earrings, and this one's size make it even more remarkable. 7/8" wide; seven links with a hidden push-in clasp and safety chain. 7". Description: Bogoff Yellow Floral and Rhinestone Necklace - This is the only piece of "summer" Bogoff I have seen or owned. Yellow plastic leaves similar to glass fruit salad pieces are interspersed with clear paste set rhinestones. Silvertone setting. A change from the usual all rhinestone Bogoff pieces, this is extremely wearable in warm weather as it is light, cool, and airy, with little danger of damage from perspiration, and goes great with either casual or dress clothing. Description: Bogoff Aqua and Clear Rhinestone Screwback Earrings - The title is pretty self explanatory except to say that all stones are in excellent condition, I'm not certain why the bottom clears came out dark because in person they are not. Side by side aqua colored emerald cut rhinestones are topped by 3 clear rhinestones and sit on top of another single clear. 3/4" x 3/8", silvertone. Maybe these match something you have? Description: Bogoff Light Siam and Clear Rhinestone Necklace - This features a style not often used by Bogoff with the link motif repeating around the entire necklace and a push-in hidden clasp. Three light siam (orange-red) rhinestones have two clear baguettes and two clear rhinestones angling off each link. Description: Bogoff Light Sapphire Blue and Clear Necklace and Earring Set - Light blue and clear rhinestones set in rhodium with Bogoff's usual attention to quality. Triple link necklace center is flanked by Bogoff's usual rhinestone set links, this time using alternating blues and clears. Central motif uses ovals and rounds, as do the screwback earrings. Description: Bogoff Lime Green Rhinestone Bracelet - 13 link bracelet with 5 stones in each link; push-in clasp and safety chain. All stones are round and paste set, with the lime green stones making up the flower "petals" and a clear stone in the center. Some of the center clears have yellowed a little; you may wish to have them replaced, but they do not detract in any way. Rhodium plate setting, 6 3/4" x 1/2". Description: Bogoff Clear Dentelle and Pear Rhinestone Necklace - A classic design for this company, this uses graduated pear cuts and large dentelle (fancy cut) rounds, as well as regular rounds in smaller sizes. As usual for Bogoff, the "chain" is a series of cast rhinestone set links that culminate in their horseshoe foldover clasp. 15"; center (longest) dangle is about 1 1/4". Description: Bogoff Emerald Green and Clear Rhinestone Necklace - As always, this Bogoff necklace is well-made and beautiful. All clear rhinestones in silvertone except for the 9 oval emerald green glass stones at the bottom of the fancy links in the center of the necklace. Those same links feature 5 clear stones, while the chain links have 3 clear stones. Paste set, foldover rhinestone clasp with Bogoff in a semi circle on each side. 15 1/2".
